
A new Domination mode is now live in Battlefield 6 Portal, featuring seven optimized maps, full competitive settings, and our brand-new custom spawning algorithm. We're looking for community feedback to help fine-tune the experience.
We’ve just rolled out a brand-new game mode in Battlefield 6 Portal — Domination — bringing classic, fast-paced infantry combat into our competitive ecosystem. While we’ve released several modes before, this one introduces new tech under the hood and deserves a proper announcement.
Below you’ll find all details on the mode, maps, rules, and what we need from the community moving forward.
Domination is a classic Battlefield infantry mode focused on close-quarters point control. Two teams fight over a set of objectives; holding more objectives will add you more tickets. It’s all about quick decisions, fast rotations, and constant action.
Our version stays true to the traditional Domination experience while adapting it to today’s competitive environment.
At release, the Domination rotation includes seven maps (5v5 variants):
All maps are optimized for close-quarters fights, fast rotations, and competitive play.
The biggest new feature in this mode is our completely custom spawn system, built entirely from scratch.
Spawning is the core of Domination’s flow, so we want to get this absolutely right.
This is a fresh release, and we are actively looking for feedback to refine spawn logic, map spawn positions, and any issues you encounter.
