About the Tournament

We’re launching a test tournament using the Swiss System format to continue refining and improving competitive Squad Rush (4v4) play!
This event will help us gather more data, feedback, and player experience as we shape the future of this mode together.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Tournament Format & Rules

CURRENT TEST SETTINGS (ACTIVE FOR THIS TOURNAMENT)
The following gameplay settings are being tested for balance and competitive fairness:
  • Defibrillators removed
  • LMGs are prohibited
  • SCW-10 and KV-9 SMGs are banned
  • Two new maps added: Manhattan Bridge & Siege of Cairo
  • Tickets reduce on death instead of on respawn (new behavior)

PRE-MATCH SHOOTING DISABLED

To prevent early map destruction and unfair advantages, all weapons are disabled during the warmup phase.
Shooting becomes enabled only when the match officially starts.
These settings are experimental β€” your feedback will directly influence final mode balance.
Rule CategoryDetail
Tournament FormatThe competition follows a Swiss System with a total of 4 rounds. Teams are paired each round against opponents with similar records. Final standings are determined using tiebreaker criteria listed below.
Match ObjectiveTeams alternate between Attackers and Defenders. Attackers must destroy both M-COM stations; defenders must prevent this before time expires.
Team SizeMatches are played in 4v4 format.
Map ProgressionMatches consist of multiple sectors. Destroying all M-COMs moves the battle to the next sector.
Sides SwitchingTeams switch roles after each round or map to ensure fair play.
Victory ConditionAll matches in this tournament are played as Best-of-One (BO1). A BO1 consists of four rounds β€” each team plays two rounds as Attackers and two as Defenders. The winner is determined by total rounds won. Matches may end in a draw in this tournament format.
Classic Format DetailsClassic Squad Rush β€” 4v4 infantry combat. 2 sectors, 45s M-COM fuse, 20-minute rounds, 20 attacker tickets per sector.
🟨 Weapon & Gadget RestrictionsSee 'Rules - Match Settings' for the full list of permitted/forbidden items.

Swiss Tournament Tiebreaker Criteria (in order)

  1. Points (PTS) – Primary Criterion
β€’ Higher total points = better ranking
β€’ Example: All 7 teams have 3 points β†’ proceed to criterion #2

  2. Direct Encounter (Head-to-Head) – Secondary Criterion
β€’ If two teams played each other, the winner ranks higher
β€’ Only applies if they actually faced each other
β€’ If not, skip to criterion #3

  3. OPP% (Opponents' Win Percentage) – Tertiary Criterion
β€’ Measures the strength of your opponents
    β€’ Higher OPP% = better ranking

Your feedback continues to be vital in improving Squad Rush and its tournament systems.

πŸ”„ Tournament Format Flexibility
This tournament is currently planned as a **Swiss System** event.
However, if we do not reach the minimum required team count to support Swiss pairing, the format will switch to a **Round Robin** (each team plays every other team).

All team captains are required to be present throughout the tournament on the tournament Discord server. If a team captain is not present, the team will be disqualified.

All registrations take place through the tournament system, where it is not a problem to create a team and insert your teammates into it (their usernamens on this website). They will then receive an invitation and as soon as they confirm their participation, you can register to the tournament.

Before the tournament, it is mandatory to confirm participation (checked-in) in the tournament system, via the button in header of this tournament! In practice, this means that the captains of the playing teams must confirm their participation in the tournament here on the website just before the tournament. Those who do not do so in time will be replaced by a substitute team.

We reserve the right to change any of the above rules, even during any tournament.

The admin of each competition has the right to change/modify any rule as well as the decision to grant an exception in a specific, precisely defined case. All cases not specified here are handled individually by the admin. Please note that some rules cannot be applied to all types of tournaments.
